Multi-Camera Magic: Creating Fitness Videos in Manchester
Client's Vision This is a complex project where I help Yana as a fitness trainer to launch her brand. I advise on how to start working on a personal brand and what needs to be done first. We started with a series of fitness training videos and wanted to test how everything works. We planned our first video shoot in Manchester and additionally invited our partner photographer Andy to take beautiful and high-quality photos for Yana's brand.

Filming process
I met with Yana and Andy at one of the skate parks in Manchester and we started our work.
It was a multi-camera shoot. We filmed one 30-minute full-body workout. I used a Sony FX3 Full-Frame Cinema Line Camera with Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens as a frontal camera, and Sony Alpha ZV-E10 with Sigma 56mm F1.4 Lens as a second camera.
Firstly, I filmed the entire workout in several approaches. Then we moved on to a hitch, a warm-up, and stretching. After that, I filmed a series of fitness b-rolls. Finally, I shoot the preparatory series of correct execution for each exercise. We changed the scenery of the background at the end so that the workout itself looks as dynamic as possible. The main camera was filmed in 4k, 50fps. The second camera was filmed in 4k, 25fps.
As I mentioned before, I also invited a professional street photographer Andy who works with us as a contractor and has long proven himself as a talented photographer. The photos are planned to be used to create a website with a landing page, as well as a series of advertising banners for social media and thumbnails for videos.
Video Editing
The first video I made from the abovementioned materials was a full 20-minute workout video. As always for all new clients and projects, I created a 2-minute design sample to show how the final video would look like.
I designed the graphic elements that I later used throughout the video:
• A 20/10 second countdown timer with appropriate sound effects;
• A video slide with a demonstration of the next exercise;
• Percentage progress bar.
After the client approved the design, I started working on the full video.
Firstly, I edited the entire workout session from start to finish. I used camera switching and b-rolls with the corresponding exercises that I filmed separately. This editing style as well as additional graphic elements made the video more dynamic and enjoyable to watch. Then I chose a mix of audio tracks to make the workout background music different. Finally, I color-corrected all the footage I used to achieve the most pleasant look.
The client also provided a text script for the beginning of the video, so I used AI service to generate a voiceover. Based on this, I created an engaging intro with the main information about the workout. The video ends with an outro I made using different footage.
